At Magic Me, we believe that high-quality art is a powerful catalyst for social change. For over 35 years, we have refined a unique approach to intergenerational practice that moves beyond simply bringing people together. Our principles underpin everything we do. This includes how we think about things, how we view the world, how we build relationships, and how we design our projects.

Our work is guided by two sets of core principles. The first reflects our fundamental beliefs about the world. The second guides the design and delivery of our projects.

• Whatever our age, the arts can bring joy and laughter, help us connect and offer ways to express who we are and how we want the world to be

• We are all ageing, not just those whom society labels ‘old’

• Relationship building is intentional, not accidental

• Participants * come together as equal partners around a creative common purpose 

• The creativity of everyone involved is nurtured and celebrated

• Everybody is needed and exchange is important

• Everyone both gives and receives

• Reflection is built into each project
