Arji Manuelpillai (Ah-jee Man-yoo-el-pih-lai) is a poet, performer, and creative facilitator who has been involved in community arts projects nationally and internationally for over 15 years. From prisons and Immigration Removal centers to schools and youth clubs, he has consistently pushed the boundaries of creativity and self-expression.
He says ‘I take pride in my ability to inspire and encourage self-expression, utilizing a variety of games and exercises that I have developed over the years working with drama, storytelling, music, and creative writing. I firmly believe in the benefits of every art form and advocate for the power of the arts to strengthen relationships in communities worldwide.
