We started parties at Rathmore House in June 2017.
Rathmore House is one of our smallest care homes run by Central and Cecil Housing Trust, and offers specialist care for people living with more advanced dementia. Situated in a quiet residential street in the Swiss Cottage area of Camden, Rathmore House is an ivy-covered, Grade II listed Edwardian building with a beautiful gardens in the front and back. Parties here are often much smaller and more intimate than the others – where we enjoy playing games and often listen to music. Highlights from past parties include – watching the world cup in July 2019 and parties which spill out onto the garden in the summer months.
Rathmore House is walking distance from the following stations:
Swiss Cottage (8 minutes walk)
Belsize Park (9 minutes walk)
Chalk Farm (15 minutes walk)
Finchley Road Stations (16 minutes walk)

Our Party Managers at Rathmore House are Kelly and Josephine!
Kelly is a healthcare consultant, who started volunteering with Magic Me over the summer of 2018. She says“I’ve always enjoyed visiting my grandparents in their care home in Birmingham, and was excited to learn about Cocktails in Care Homes as it has given me the opportunity to be a part of a community closer to home, in London. Cocktails is a great idea – the act of going to a party together creates a warm, group atmosphere and provides a great starting point for interesting conversations between volunteers and residents alike.”
