Associate Artist
After many years in education as a teacher, a workshop facilitator and an artist, Carolene Yawa Ada (Kah-roh-leen Yah-wah Ah-dah) created her own community arts organisation: Swallow’s Wings Puppetry.
The organisation aims to share African Caribbean culture with audiences who do not usually have a lot of access to the arts: young families and elders, schools, community centres and libraries.
Carolene says ‘Working with Magic Me is a very exciting start of a new journey: meeting other artists and partner organisations, collaborating on new projects, contributing to the social fabric of the area, and learning much from this pioneer organisation.’
