We started throwing parties at Lawnfield House in July 2018.
Our first party was a garden party (shown above!) and saw a whopping 30 residents joining us – the attendance numbers continue to rise! Parties at Lawnfield House include everything from chit-chat and catching up to dancefloors and games of Jenga. This is one of our largest parties so we are always looking to fill up the room with more volunteer guests. The parties are also attended by resident’s family members who we love to welcome in.
Lawnfield House is a residential and dementia care home run by MHA and is situated in the borough of Brent.

Our Party Managers at Lawnfield House are Maria and Cansu!
Maria says “I’ve recently joined the Cocktails in Care Home team and am loving the new experience – I have a little more time available as my daughter is away at university now and I’ve always wanted to try volunteering. I love meeting the residents – so many different characters – enjoying chatting and entertaining them at these wonderful parties – I think its a fantastic project and am glad I’m involved.”
Cansu says “I am a London based art historian and events manager. I moved to this great city 4 years ago and try to enjoy all art related events. Beside my artsy side I play tennis and love to spend my spare time in my tennis club. I like to communicate with people, that is the reason I chose this volunteering role as party managers, met so many people and helping them makes me very happy.”
