We have been throwing parties at 73 Mildmay since 2013.
Residents and volunteers attending this party have been known to enjoy a bit of karaoke so if you fancy a sing-along, don’t be shy! This is one of two monthly parties in the complex, so if you attend our parties at Mildmay 20/26 (taking place later in the month) expect to see some familiar faces! Activities Coordinator Marian is one of these faces, always ensuring the parties run smoothly alongside our wonderful Party Managers.

Our Party Managers at 73 Mildmay are Isi and Amanda!
Isi says“I couldn’t think of better company to get a beer with on a Wednesday evening! At one party a lady said to me “I don’t know why you spend your time coming here, you must be so tired after work” automatically I took her hand and replied with “I come because I enjoy all of your company!” There are always laughs, stories and an impromptu sing song on the karaoke machine!”
Amanda works in volunteering development for the RNLI and has been volunteering with Magic Me since 2015. Why come to 73 Mildmay? “The parties are such a simple idea but you can really see the impact on the residents who attend – at the end of my last party one resident told me that it had been ‘a real treat’ and said that it showed to her that young people do still care! I always leave the parties in a great mood knowing I’ve done something small to help in my local community!”
