David Russell Biography

David has worked in the voluntary and public sectors for over 10 years with a focus on tackling inequality and health. Currently he works in NHS England’s Strategy Team on long term strategy and planning for the NHS. He was previously a Director of Development for the charity Spice Time Credits responsible for policy, impact measurement, business development and communications. He started his career in the voluntary sector in east London in social care and housing working alongside vulnerable adults as Head of Involvement and Volunteering for Outward housing. He has a degree and masters in literature and is a passionate volunteer and has volunteered at both the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympics.

His favourite art form is theatre especially when it challenges us to think and see our lives in new ways.
