Project Coordinator

Salary: £23,000 – £25,000, 35 hours per week

Location: Magic Me’s office is in Bethnal Green, E2, east London.
We are open to hybrid working: at the office and elsewhere and will agree a pattern of work with the successful candidate.

Magic Me is the UK’s leading provider of intergenerational arts activities and creative arts with care home residents, with a 30+ year track record. Our arts projects challenge young and older people to stretch themselves and what they think they can do and be. Participants learn new skills, share their ideas and feelings, and become comfortable collaborating with people who are different in age, ethnicity or life experience.

Magic Me has been awarded 3 years of public funding by Arts Council England, as we become one of their National Portfolio Organisations.  From April 2023, this funding will support our ambitious programme of new work alongside growing our existing projects. We’re looking for a Project Coordinator to join us on this journey. Arts have a vital role to play in post-pandemic community building and this is a crucial and exciting time in Magic Me’s development.

The Role

We are searching for a Project Coordinator, with a strong connection to Tower Hamlets and the communities who live here. You will have some professional or personal experience organising events or workshops in a community setting, and enjoy making things happen through practical and administrative tasks. Through this role you will develop skills to confidently communicate with a wide range of people, build relationships and get conversations going.

Are you able to? 
  • Coordinate project logistics and complete administrative tasks such as schedules, booking rooms, and organising refreshments?
  • Attend project workshops in-person and online and support older and younger people to take part ?
  • Communicate with older and younger people  using a variety of mediums including email, telephone, face to face and text message to give information on projects?
  • Collect and input monitoring and evaluation data to support us to tell more people about what we do?

Recruitment & Interview Timeline

Interviews will take place in-person the week of 24th July at the Magic Me office, Bethnal Green
