Emily Andrews is a policy, research and influencing professional who has worked across issues of ageing, employment and public service reform for over a decade. She joined Magic Me as a trustee in 2025.
Emily’s whole career has had an intergenerational flavour: she began her working life as a secondary school teacher, and then completed a PhD about “Old Age in Nineteenth-Century Psychiatry”. She has since spent six years at the Centre for Ageing Better trying to create a society where we all have fair access to work as we age. In her spare time, she volunteers as a Coram Beanstalk reader at a local primary school – and finds there is nothing more mindful than sharing books with eight-year-olds.
Having worked intergenerationally all her life, she wants to help Magic Me create a society where all of us are given space to express ourselves and be seen, at every stage of our lives.
