Stepney Stories brought together children from John Scurr Primary School, Tower Hamlets with residents from Hawthorn Green Care Home, Tower Hamlets.

Together this intergenerational group worked with Magic Me artists Surya Turner a storyteller, and Polly Beestone, a puppeteer, over 10 weeks to explore individual and collective stories, and to create puppets to animate these tales.

The completed stories were made into short films. These were shown at a final celebratory event at Hawthorn Green Care Home sharing the work with wider audiences  including peers, family members, teachers, and care home staff.
