Emily joined Magic Me in 2018, delivering Magic Me’s intergenerational arts projects across East London, connecting Primary and Secondary Schools with older people living independently or in Care Settings. As Project Manager, Emily now leads the delivery and expansion of ‘Magic Moments’, a project working collaboratively with Care Home Staff to support everyone’s right to creative expression. Emily recently joined the Reimagining Dementia Coalition and outside of her role at Magic Me provides 1-to-1 support for people living with Dementia in her local Care Home. Originally from a council estate in Birmingham, she is interested in class-identity and experiences of Dementia.
Before joining Magic Me, Emily completed a traineeship in producing and artist development at Artsadmin, where she supported large-scale festival and theatre productions, artist bursary schemes and the education programme. She has been working with youth and community groups since 2015 including Primary and Secondary schools, Southampton Youth Offending Service and Breakout Youth an LGBTQ charity, as well as NCS The Challenge, London.
