“We, Ishwari and Leonie, are artists who believe in the transformative process of collective art making and hope to build systems of care and support within different spaces and institutions, where external pressures are causing these to be lacking or exhausted.
We understand collaboration and intergenerational exchange to be great tools in helping to resist systems of oppression, exhaustion and isolation. Attempting to identify a collective ‘need’; we move between processes of walking, conversation, radio and sound, analogue film and photography, text and food.
We run Kneed, a resource for artists and cultural workers learning to make collectively, sustainably and with accountability. We have worked with LADA DIY, Anti-university and WFH Residency on slow burning projects that imagine an end to constant cycles of exhaustion, here is our most recent showcase.”
