Celebrating our Volunteers: Peishan

Our most regular party go-ers tell us what motivates them to be involved in the Cocktails project. Thank you all for sharing your stories and for your commitment and dedication to Cocktails! Every single volunteer is important to us. We hope these stories will inspire you and if you are interested in volunteering with us check out our Volunteering section here.

Peishan tells us about her time on the Cocktails project:
“I had just moved to London a few years ago and was looking for a way to contribute to my new community, so I started volunteering at 20/26 Mildmay. I really like the idea of intergenerational bonding over drinks, and its flexibility meant I was able to volunteer monthly despite busy work/life commitments. It has turned out to enrich my life in a myriad of ways.

I’ve learnt so much from the ladies I regularly chat with, how the country and their lives were like back in the days, which enables me to gather an insight into their current situation. They also have a great (filthy) sense of humour and taught me how to play a mean game of dominoes.”

Thank you Peishan, for your participation on Cocktails!
