Then we want to hear from you! Join the Magic Me team as a Community Arts Trainee. We’re recruiting three trainees to work with us from May – October 2022.

Interviews

Interviews will take place on Tuesday 10 May and Wednesday 11 May at Magic Me’s office in Bethnal Green, between the hours of 4 – 6.30pm. Each interview will be no longer than 30 minutes and if you are invited to an interview you will be sent the questions in advance.

  • Paid at London Living Wage – £11.05 per hour
  • Based at Magic Me’s office, Bethnal Green

Background

Artworks is a Community Arts Trainee Programme for people living in Tower Hamlets. The programme is designed to address inequalities in the arts, so we are particularly looking for people who reflect Magic Me’s local community in Tower Hamlets, including people from Asian, Black and other minority ethnic backgrounds, and working class backgrounds.

Funded by London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Artworks will offer paid placements at Magic Me between 2020 – 2023, empowering local residents to begin their career in the arts. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the programme has been designed to enable Trainees to plan and run their own intergenerational arts event, as well as work on Magic Me’s current programme.

Community Arts Trainee - Application Form

Are you over 18 & currently living in Tower Hamlets?(Required)
This opportunity is only open to people over the age of 18, who currently live in Tower Hamlets.
Can you commit to two days per week?(Required)
Normal office hours are between 9.30 - 5.30pm with a one hour lunch break. Some flexibility is possible, please let us know if you would need to discuss this.
