Emma Higham


Emma is a theatre-maker who combines the strands of participatory and professional theatre-making to create new work, often with an autobiographical focus. Over the past twelve years she has created shows with companies and theatre-makers such as The Unicorn Theatre, The Gate, The Roundhouse, The Old Vic Theatre, Synergy Theatre Project, David Rosenberg, Mark Storor, Slunglow, Glas(s) and Punchdrunk whilst creating her own work.

She is co-director of RAPT Theatre company, which combines academic research and participation towards theatre productions www.rapt-theatre.com She devised and co-directed a sold-out production The Happiness Project for Summerhall, Edinburgh and The Roundhouse, London; working with a performance company of academics, scientists and young people.
